Bag Authentication
At AtelierDu-ReSee, authenticity is the cornerstone of everything we do.
We understand that luxury handbags are more than just accessories - they are investments, cultural icons, and symbols of craftsmanship. Whether you're shopping for a classic Hermès Birkin, a vintage Chanel Timeless, or a unique Dior Saddle Bag, our promise is simple: every handbag we offer is an authentic item, meticulously verified by our team of experts
How We Authenticate Luxury Bags
Each piece undergoes a close inspection at our Paris facilities, led by specialists trained at prestigious French luxury houses. Our process follows strict brand-specific criteria including:
- Leather quality and texture
- Stitching alignment, including running stitch techniques
- Hardware design and engraving
- Interior linings and serial numbers
- Brand-specific embossings and hallmarks
- Water-resistant finishes and material integrity
- Comparison to verified references from our proprietary archive
For iconic models like the Hermès Kelly bag (named after Grace Kelly) or the legendary Chanel 2.55, we also review provenance: original receipts, packaging, and ownership history. This level of detail helps us preserve each Chanel creation and honor the savoir-faire of maisons like Hermès.
What You Receive with Your Purchase
Every handbag sold on AtelierDu-ReSee is delivered with an official Certificate of Authenticity. This document is provided for high-value purchases and certifies the bag's origin, materials, and compliance with our authentication protocol. In the rare event a third-party expert proves a product inauthentic, we offer a money-back guarantee - no exceptions.
From Paris to New York and Beyond
AtelierDu-ReSee ships globally from our secured warehouse in Paris and New York City. Whether your bag travels from Paris to London, Milan or New York, we ensure optimal storage and professional handling until it reaches you. Our goal is to preserve the integrity and value of your handbag - from the moment it enters our care to the moment you receive it.

What to keep in mind when investing in a bag?
Fashion is cyclical! When you buy what you love - trends don’t matter. In recent years, long shoulder and crossbody bags were very high in demand, and now we see a return of tight fitting loop styles. Take for example the JPG Shoulder Birkin, which has gained in popularity enormously this past year. What's out of fashion today will come back tomorrow.

What are the Best under the radar Bags on AtelierDu-ReSee to Buy Now?
When it comes to Hermès the Passe-Guide is an exquisite and rarely seen piece for connoisseurs of the House, featuring a rich equestrian backstory and perfect proportions.
You can still find Old Céline bags at very interesting prices, remembering how much they originally retailed for in-store. This Mini Classic Box Celine is a great size for everyday, and the Hunter Green colour on this Phoebe-era Icon is incredible!
The Gucci Bamboo tote is the epitome of timeless - Having been brought to fame by Lady D in the '90s, the House has continuously carried this model throughout the decades.
Most underrated bags at the moment?
Vintage Saint Laurent such as the Mombassa were completely off the radar for a long time, but are finally gaining in popularity thanks to their intricate detailing and sleek Y2K appeal.
Which bags should we consider selling now?
Hermès and Chanel are always in high demand, but especially the limited edition or vintage adaptions of the Houses' Iconic models are currently reaching top prices. Think backpack, minis, or supersized editions. Besides that, vintage Gucci bags, Y2K icons such as Fendi & Dior, and Timeless The Row bags are currently strong sellers.
Which bag trend do you think will be coming back soon?
Although we currently can’t get enough of the mini bag, we are starting to see demand for supersized models such as the Hermès HAC.
What is your favorite bag and why?
A Hermès Kelly 28 box Rouge H: it’s a timeless Classic, chic, yet thanks to its color has a casual feel, and it works for all seasons. Also for me the 28 is the ideal size, perfect for everyday, either hand-carried or on the shoulder.
Which bag(s) are you currently looking for yourself?
I am on the hunt for a Hermès Sandrine in dark green box, and a vintage Saint Laurent Studded Shoulder Bag!
